According to new findings, vitamin D supplement usage does not increase kidney stone risk, rather age, gender and weight may have significant influence in this regard. Previous findings indicate that enough amounts of vitamin D in the body would prevent some diseases such as some kind of cancers.
Findings of this research can decrease people's concern regarding vitamin D supplement usage.
After 19 month study on 2000 adults in different ages, only 13 individual was found to have kidney stone. According to the results, elder age and overweight are considered to be of risk factors of kidney stone.
Also men are more susceptible than women. |
